Vancouver Canucks

If you’ve been to a Canucks game at Rogers Arena this season, you’ve probably noticed the heart-pounding opening presentations. We’ve been thrilled to work with the creative team at Canucks (led by Mark Raham) to produce these openings, designing and animating the massive ice and scrim projections (including the largest water simulation we’ve done to date). Projecting on a surface like ice presented a lot of unique and unexpected challenges, but no one here objected to have to spend a little extra time at the arena getting things perfect.

Since debuting, the intros have been lauded as some of the best in the NHL. We’re proud of that. Check out our second intro (entitled “Heart of the City”), as well as some work-in-progress shots, below:
