The Sequence Group is heading down under this summer….
Sequence founder and creative director Ian Kirby will be heading to Sydney on August 16th, along with Melbourne studio partner and creative director Luke Bicevskis. The team will be speaking at AEAF – the International Animation Effects Award Festival, which returns to Australia in 2017 for its 20th anniversary.
On May 6, 2017 we’ll be joining industry icons like Capcom and Industrial Light & Magic at the Vancouver Career Fair for VFX & Animation, Film & TV Production, and Video Games.
We can't wait to meet the next generation of digital artists to learn how we can support their development and growth – and to see how they can help Sequence move to the next level of animation and VFX production!
CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND?
Storytelling through various mediums such as film, photography, music, and art have always played a big influence in my life. I constantly read everything, from books to magazines, biographies and song lyrics.
We were very proud to work on Facing — a National Geographic documentary series about history’s global, iconic and notorious individuals, and the people that dared go against them.
Australian-based Partner and Creative Director Luke Bicevskis reveals how Sequence approached the trailer for Plastic Studio’s Bound, expressing the balletic, graceful essence of the core gameplay.
We recently teamed up with the ever-inventive creative studio Giant Ant to help deliver Traffic — a short CG stop-motion clay jam for communication app Slack! Giant Ant led the creative while Sequence’s talented team took care of the 3D and compositing. Sequence’s 3D lead Daniel Smith discusses the process behind the animation, and how we created a productive workflow for a productivity app!
